Memories from the Past...
A very interesting group of young men. Remember Neil McCarty the 25 year old ex-Marine who did not think my rules or regulations were at all difficult to follow or the incomparable Steve Johnson who transferred to CSM from Orange Coast.

I am still waiting to get even with Steve for squirting ink on my new white shirt. I don't care if it was invisible ink. I can still see the spots by using my imagination.

The THIRD place finish in the State Championships was the highest finish by any CSM Swimming Team as they had 37 lifetime best swims in this meet. I am still saying "Nice Going". Many of the school records set by this swimmers on this and last year's teams have not been broken.

Yikes...we got the pie scared out of us when we thought that Dave Gray was going to be disqualified at States for entering the pool too soon only to find out that the last swimmer in the prior race was doing a "cool down" swim.

I cannot forget the joy brought to many by the :21.8 that tied the national J.C. swim record for the 50 yard freestyle by Don Gray.
