You are awesome Rich. I love your website and speaking with you. You have great vision and strong suggestions/opinions. I value your words! Keep up your spirt and love for the game (water polo). I once knew a fancinating man (Dennis Fosdick). A man who taught me anything is better than nothing! Everyone around you and who surround you are who you are. Think of everyone else before thinking of yourself. I value others and want to help everyone and anyone more than myself.
Take Care
Rich

Hey there my rafting buddy! My mom told me about your website, so I just had to check it out! And she also told me you are now considering coming back to Oregon in July, how exciting! You have to, because if you don't come I will have to raft with Dad or Kim and they aren't very nice to me! Have a great week and hopefully I will see you soon! Are you going to Kathy's on the 29th? Maybe I will see you then!

Rich, your site is a great trip down memory lane. I'm finally signing in after complaining that it wouldn't let me a couple of years ago. Had lunch with Ed Rudloff and Roger McCandless last week so I guess that reminded me.

>Hi Rich, During summers
in the 60s you coached swimming at the Terrace Club.
You made a positive impression on me. I attended San
Carlos after you left, so I did not experience your
great coaching for water polo or swimming there. Just
wanted to say hello, and thanks for your influence.

Rich--Pretty neat to
see those old Dons--in particular old friend Jim Pierog.
If old Bulldog coach John Noce has an email address,
please forward or send him mine. Thanks. Steve (Scots

Coach Donner, I was on
your 1963 swim team at San Carlos High School. I have
many wonderful memories of those days. You were an inspiration
to all of us. Thanks. Larry Glass

Hi Rich, I came across
this site somewhat by accident but really enjoyed looking
at it. My wife and I, along w/our two children, are
living in Eugene where I teach in the College of Business.
I married a sister of one of your former players, John
Olson. Martha and I have a daughter who is 12 and son
who is 8. She's a soccer player (and reluctant swimmer
for part of the year) and he plays with anything that
bounces. Life is very busy with the kids' sports and
work. I'm still swimming (I guess the Mad Dog moniker
really did fit), but don't have time to compete anymore.
It looks as if you and your family are doing well. It
was a real pleasure to see what you've been up to and
I really liked the Sequoia High and San Jose State pictures.
I wish you continued good health and peace. Take care,
Bob

Hi Rich, are you "Mr.
Donner" that coached water polo and swimming at SCHS
during the years 66/67 and 67/68? I was on both teams.
This fact may be difficult to remember as my greatest
times were not worth mentioning, but I had fun. I also
see from the early pictures my brother Greg in the swimming
photos. He was the star; I swam for the luxury of it
all...fog, rain, 5,000 laps each practice. Great!

I am truly sorry to hear
about Larry Moblad. As a freshmen member of the 1965
CSM Water Polo team, he truly was an inspiration to
me as a first year player. Larry was their to assist
me with skill sets. Great guy!! I will miss him. Randy

Coach, Tks to Harpo I
found your guest book. I have seen your name on the
ref list. But have not had the privilege of having you
ref any of my games. Are you going to ref this year
(2002)? Although it has been 32 years since I had the
opportunity to play for you, the memories are still
very strong. Your coaching has inspired mine. You taught
many lessons beyond water polo and impacted many lives
in a positive way. I can only hope that I have done
the same.

Hey Mr. Donner, It's
great to see you around the pool again! This website
is a total kick, I love the wakeboarder with your head
glued in, or is that really your body? See you soon!

Rich, Just dabble with
coaching now and I was thinking back about Bulldog swimming
as I spent the weekend with Dennis Nugent watching some
very fast swims at a high school section meet. Frosh
girl 4:46 500, junior boy 55+ breast, 20.2 50 made the
day pretty interesting. Never did give you the proper
credit for the background that gave me a pretty interesting
carreer as a coach. Work hard and emphasize the basics
with concentration on creating quality people and the
rest is easy. Pretty important to have a little fun
also!! Came out of retirement a couple of years ago
and I am playing polo again. Just returned from New
Zealand at the world geriatric championsips. Seriously
though it is still really competitive. Second to some
Croation war crimminals who played some real good polo.
-Italy in 2 years and we're already recruiting a goalie(a
valuable commodity as we age)- In New Zealand we recruited
a goalie from Singapore and a couple of monsters from
Australia (hole guard 6'6" and 285 who could also swim
well. Jim Purcell was in New Zealand playing for the
O Club with Andy Burke and Pete Cutino running the show.
We were talking about our mutual Bulldog quality background.
Also I never will forget being undefeated at partner
hearts with some slacker I had to teach the game!! Later,
Dennis Belli
